Restaurant Recommendations

Below are some of my favourite restaurant recommendations within an easy walk from your place.

  1. Our top restaurant is Chez Piggy. It’s in a beautiful court yard and on a nice afternoon or evening in the warm weather ( come back in the summer!), it’s a wonderful place to have a meal. If its colder, the interior is very nice and cozy. Its set in an old stone stable. It’s a Higher end place that has excellent food and service, and a bit more expensive too.
  2. Tango Nuevo is a Kingston favourite! It’s great food Spanish and Turkish tapas with an excellent wine list and great atmosphere. Dark and Romantic is how I describe it and very popular with everyone, visitors and locals alike.
  3. Olivea. Right beside Tango on the corner of King and Brock street is Olivea. A great Italian Canadian restaurant. Excellent food. And has a nice patio that looks over market square and city hall.
  4. Grecos . A fantastic Greek restaurant. Best I’ve ever had really. Amazing food. Professional service, definitely get the flaming cheese dish called Saganaki and anything made from Lamb. Sooo good! Take me with you! Haha!
  5. Aqua Terra – fine dining in the delta hotel. Totally beautiful restaurant ask for a table by the window to look out onto the water and marina. Interesting and Delicious high end Candian Cuisine, both seafood and meats. 5 stars from me.
  6. Woodenheads – a Kingston institution! Delicious thin crust pizza, amazing salads, and interesting appitizers and sharing plates. Across the street from Diannes ( a seafood place, if you’re feeling like fish tacos or Ceveche). A top spot in town.
  7. Harpers Burger Bar – Best burgers in town. Really something else! Corner of Princess and Wellington.
  8. Heist – Recently opened and Nicole and I went for our anniversary this year. It was great. Food was delcious, portions were huge, and service was surprisingly great. The restaurant interior was cool and has a Bank Robbery theme.
